Assignment 1.  Email instructor with responses to questionnaire.

Assignment 2.  Abbreviated BLM Case Analysis.  Instructions:  What, in your opinion, are the most crucial or urgent issues facing the new BLM CIO?  Briefly explain each of the issues that you identify.  You should probably read the case at least twice.  I am looking for quality, not quantity.  Pay attention to your writing.

Assignment 3.  Professional Readings.  As IT professionals you will need to cultivate the habit of monitoring professional literature.  To assist you in developing this lifelong habit, you will be expected to read and briefly summarize (.5 to .75 pages single spaced) three articles during the first 6 weeks of class.  The summary should:  Identify salient points, present any controversial issues, discuss why you think this article is relevant to practice.  You may select any IT-related topic that interests you.  However, if you want to conserve energy, you might focus your selections on areas relevant to either your technical evaluations or class presentations.  Some on-line sources of IT-related content are available on the CIS Resources link of this website.
